"First of all, I really want to have a chance to see Eric's beard becoming birds net. From the past experience, I've seen Eri'c bread in different style for different holidays. But, most of the styles were for decoration purpose. It's great to see Eric's beard finally having the chance to contribute the nature. That is really awesome.About the scholarship, I don't think the name will matter. I am more interesting on how the iSchool will make us want to contribute after graduation. I mean, it's a new program. There isn't much networking opportunity on career path. I once saw my friend flying from Pittsburg to Seattle for a networking with alumni. And that chance is officially held by school advisor. Not to mention about the school advisor joined the whole activity and worked very hard to match your ability and alumni who might need your ability. How cool is it? If I were my friend, those memory reminds me when every time I think my school. "

"MSIM degree gives us valuable knowledge and an edge in our career...but like everything good in life ..it comes with a cost.I believe MSIM Breadraiser scholarship is a cool concept specially because there is nothing currently for the MSIM students that allows them to manage their fees ...while they are "just students". It is a nice gesture from Eric, and we all should support this initiative.Cheers for the MSIM!!"

"An MSIM Scholarship and the Beardraiser are both fantastic ideas! For future MSIM students, having an MSIM-specific scholarship will improve their ability to pay for their studies, but more importantly it gives them a sense of being a part of a larger community. During the course of the program students have many opportunities to interact with members of Seattle's information management community, but to have a scholarship funded by members of the community would provide students with that sense of belonging from the start of their education. The Beardraiser will enable the class of 2010 and those who participate to create a lasting legacy at the University and within the iSchool."

"Eric Bell, and his Magnificent Plumage, is a man -- and a beard! -- with a mission. (And a beard!) Eric and his beard have witnessed first-hand the plight of the common, working MSIM student, have seen the pain lurking deep in that student's heart, and have developed a panacea sure to at least help, a little: give that kid some money. Eric, equipped with clarity of intellect, a large heart, a powerful desire to graduate, and a history of not shaving, is finally taking a practical approach to helping MSIM students fund their educations by doing what any sensible man in his position would: he's endowing a scholarship with his beard. Thank you, Eric Bell. For your hard work. And your beard."
